HI, I'M KARA 

I'm a bridal hairstylist, former hairdresser, beauty therapist, makeup artist, educator, and the founder of The Beginning.

 

Over the past decade, I've worked with more than 400 brides and built a business that now books almost two years in advance. But it wasn't always that way.

I completed a three-year hairdressing apprenticeship where I learnt everything about cutting, colouring and hair health, but never how to create a bridal hairstyle.

When I entered the bridal industry, I discovered the opposite problem. Many artists could create beautiful hairstyles but struggled with preparation, blow-drying, mature hair, veil placement and understanding how different hair types actually behave.

That's when everything clicked.

Hairdressers and bridal hairstylists aren't the same profession. They're two completely different skill sets, and nobody was teaching the bridge between them.

That's why I created The Beginning.
